My art is two and three dimensional with painting, drawing, wire sculptures and more. I use my art to convey emotions or to express how I see the world. Whether or not things are traditionally beautiful there is beauty in whatever it may be. My art consists of flowers, skulls, snakes and the list goes on. The wilted flower still holds its’ beauty even though the appearance and fragility is altered. There is a type of spirit, a feeling in everything. My hope is that through my art others can see and feel what I do.

  • Quite a few of my artworks are mixed media. Starting off with paintings (acrylic, oil, watercolors) and then evolving into adding gems, gold leaf or even plaster for a more 3-Dimensional look and feel. I enjoy mixing different mediums to create something wonderful.

  • I enjoy painting with acrylics and oils the most. Watercolors are a nice medium to work with and I am learning how to progress with watercolors more and more. There are photos of all three in the gallery.

  • Wire sculptures can be difficult to do what you want but in the end the results are worth it. A wire sculpture I made of a shark named Frank, is one of my absolute favorite things I have made to date. There is a photo of him and his little fish friend in the gallery section.

  • When I was young, in the 5th grade, one of my teachers showed the class how to weave traditional Cherokee baskets. This interested me because I am Cherokee but my family is not as into the culture as they could be, because of this I did not know how to weave. While I was in college on eof my professors taught us how to weave again. Since then, I have an award at the university I attended. basket weaving connects me to my culture in a way and is one of my favorite things to do.
